Bernadette Joyce was born into a large family in the west of Ireland. She attended the Presentation Secondary School and for some 40 years was part of the Presentation Sisters Union Mission in New Zealand and Chile. Because of illness she left Chile and is now living in Galway.
Irish Interest in based on one very simple idea: to bring the contents of any Irish bookshop to people everywhere, especially those outside Ireland who do not have the possibility of keeping abreast of new books published in Ireland.
