Dorothy Fletcher Bentley is a freelance Web and Graphic Designer who loves to get creative by writing and illustrating stories for children. She began writing her books as a side project to her job. This began with a funny tale about a Hawaiian shirt-wearing Cyclops who can’t find sunglasses for his one lil eye and quickly grew into a series of nine books to date. Dorothy, who was born in Ireland, spent several years living and working in California at UCLA as an E-Communications Specialist. Upon returning home she decided on a freelance career, which allowed her to pursue other artistic endeavours like jewellery design, painting and writing. Dorothy has a BA in Graphic Communication as well as a diploma in Interactive Media. She works, and dreams up stories, in her home studio in Co. Carlow, Ireland. Source: Commons
