Paul Casey was born in Cork and has lived more than half of his life in Zambia and South Africa, plus a number of years in the UK, Japan, Canada, and Switzerland. He has also lived in different parts of Ireland and returned to settle in 2005. He writes poetry, provides writing workshops, edits, makes the occasional film and runs Ó Bhéal. His background is in film, teaching and multimedia.
Irish Interest in based on one very simple idea: to bring the contents of any Irish bookshop to people everywhere, especially those outside Ireland who do not have the possibility of keeping abreast of new books published in Ireland.
