Perry Share

Dr Perry Share is Head of Department of Humanities at the Institute of Technology, Sligo. He is also a lecturer in sociology. His research interests span the sociology of food and eating; professionalisation; and language and intertextuality (plagiarism). He is the co-author of A Sociology of Ireland (Dublin, Gill and Macmillan, 3rd ed); co-editor of Applied Social Studies (Dublin, Gill and Macmillan, 2nd ed) and Belongings: Shaping identity in modern Ireland (Dublin, IPA). He is a research associate at the National Institute for Regional and Spatial Analysis [NIRSA] and the Irish Social Science Platform [ISSP]. He has previously taught at Charles Sturt University, Australia, and National University of Ireland in Galway. Address: Department of Social Sciences
