Sadhbh Devlin

Sadhbh Devlin was born in Bray, Co. Wicklow in 1978. She graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2000 with a BA Hons in Drama and Modern Irish. She worked for many years with ‘Comhluadar Teo.’ an organisation that supported families raising children through Irish. Four of her picturebooks have been published by Futa Fata since 2017. Her second book, Beag Bídeach (Futa Fata, 2018) was nominated for four prestigious awards, including the Children’s Books Ireland: Book of the Year Award and Gradam Réics Carló. Geansaí Ottó (Futa Fata, 2020) won the Literacy Association of Ireland Book of the Year (Category 0-5) Award in 2021. Sadhbh also writes essays and flash-fiction for adults and is the Irish-language editor of splonk.ie - a bilingual online magazine dedicated to Flash Fiction. She writes reviews of books for young people for Inis Magazine and facilitates various literature-inspired workshops in schools, libraries and at festivals nationwide. Source: Commons
