As the daughter of a librarian, books were a crucial part of Amy Ewing's childhood. She moved to New York City to study theater and while that didn’t quite work out as she had planned, she is very satisfied with being creative and writing stories for a living! She has an MFA in Creative Writing from The New School, and her debut young adult fantasy novel, The Jewel, became a New York Times and international bestseller. She is also a freelance editor.
